AGENCY

Q: What is a "Mother Agency"?
A: A mother agency is the agency that "manages" the models career. We  book local jobs for our models and submit their pictures to work in other markets. 

Q: What percentage does the agency take for bookings?

A: When a model books a local job 20% is deducted from the model's check for the agency's commission. When we place a model in another market (working as your mother agency) the agency in the other market pays us (Mary Lou's Models) a percentage of their 20% they collect from a booking.

 

Q: Do we have to sign a contract?

Yes. Our contract is a non exclusive contract. The main reason we have our models sign contracts is for the "Mother Agency" part. We spend time submitting to other markets and want to make sure those agencies pay us a %. Like a finders fee.

 

WORKSHOPS

 

1. If I take a modeling workshop am I guaranteed a job?

No. We do not decide who books a job. That is the clients decision. We submit the composites and then the client lets us know who they would like to book for the job.

 

2. Do I need to take the workshop to be considered by the agency?

We strongly recommend it for a few reasons. It does give the model the tools and confidence needed in the event they do book a job. We get to know your personality and strength. Remember our name is on your composite. If you look good we look good. We have tried to keep the cost of the workshops to a minimum to make sure you are ready.  *Note: For those models with previous experience you would not be required to take the workshop.

 

3. Do I have to have professional pictures taken to be with the agency?

Yes. We have submitted snapshots in the past BUT have found that 1. The models with composites are the ones the clients choose. 2. It looks better as an agency to submit professional pictures.

 

PHOTO SHOOT

 

Q: What does the photo shoot consist of?
A: Ritch shoots 2 looks for $200. This includes a disc with all the pictures, composite card and proof sheet. If you would like 4 looks it is $300. You can also shoot 2 family members (each 2 looks) for $300. Please bring more then 2 outfits if possible so he can help choose which would be best for the shoot. Please call 850-621-7905 to schedule.
